CST 300 MODULE 8
Part 1: Review Other Teams' final video projects
SolU - Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture
1. Yes I felt like they covered their topic well in regards to the use of AI in agriculture. It gave multiple perspective on how AI machines are used to determine good or bad produce, protect crops, and monitor livestock.
2. They went with a video based presentation which gave you a nice visual on how the machines are used in agriculture. There was many examples provided and the topic felt well researched.
3. I felt they had enough research on the video. They videos really gave you a nice perspective on how these technologies worked. I like when they talked about how AI is used in farms for apples. It showed how machines determine whether or not an apple is ready to be harvested by being shown multiple different colors, size, and shapes to determine if in apple ripe or not.
4. The quality is good. You can clearly see how the AI technologies are used in agriculture. The video has nice transitions and the videos match what the user is saying. I liked the video where it shows exactly how a machine is trained in sorting produce. It is given multiple images of both good and bad produce and the machine will either reject or accept a produce based on the images it has embedded.
5. I like being able to visually see how something works. It helps captivate the audience in a much better way
6. Yes each team member did their job and put good effort into their respective parts.
7. Yes I feel anyone can follow this video and have a general understanding on how AI machines are used in agriculture. Videos always provide a great perspective and show the viewer exactly how the AI machines work. Has definitely given me an idea of what I can implement to my videos as well.
Git Computing - Autonomous Vehicles for Professionals
1. Yes I felt like they covered their topic well in regards to the use of autonomous vehicles. It showed the pros and cons of self driving cars. I like the example of the remote controlled "phantom" car to show that this is an idea that has been around for a long time. I would love to have seen an example of how self driving cars can cause legal issues.
2. They went with a slide based presentation which is good because you can see graphs and trends of self driving cars. You also go to visually see how these technologies work.
3. I felt they had enough research on the video. They slides gave a good perspectives on the topic presented. It showed the companies who use self driving cars and the people use the cars. It showed how the cars worked with multiple camera's and communication systems to make decisions.
4. The quality is good. However on some slides the images were a little blurry. Also I think one part of the video cut off. Overall it was a good quality though.
5. Yes the video was nice because the topic is very interesting. Self driving cars is an idea that has been around for a very long time and being able to get a general understanding of how it works is always helpful.
6. Yes each team member did their job and put good effort into their respective parts. Everyone explained many aspects of autonomous vehicles. However I would have liked if the presentation had better transitions as it felt like it was individual videos that got mixed into one video. Overall it was a great presentation.
7. Yes I feel anyone can follow this presentation and have a general understanding on how autonomous vehicles work.
Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal

For the most part we as a group have been mostly communicating through discord. Making a video was a new experience for me and having to do it with a camera on was definitely a lot harder. I don't even remember how many retakes I had to do. The video project definitely gave me more perspective on how challenging it is it make videos. So I definitely have a lot to work on before I can make my final capstone video. Overall I really like that I had to step out of my comfort zone to do make these videos as it definitely makes me more versatile.
Overall this was definitely an interesting class to me. I have not done much writing in years especially academic regards, so at first it was definitely challenging challenging trying to get back to figuring out how to research topics and write full essays while taking into account ethics, audiences, formatting, word choice and much more. This class reminds me that I should re-visit certain skills so that it can stay fresh on my mind. You just never know when you are going to be given a task that requires writing skills or any skill that you attain as you keep progressing in life. So I am glad to have been a part of this class and I thank everyone who helped me by providing great feedback and learning modules.
