CST MODULE 6

Part 1: Help Your Teammates to Develop Capstone Ideas

So we discussed a couple of capstone projects such as creating a search engine, small indie games and other ideas such as an online auction system. There is just so much possibilities that it is hard to choose for me personally. Honestly I am open to trying any project. Creating and designing a video game is something that I have always wanted to do. Just being able to build a game from the ground up would be amazing. As far as the code that goes behind it well I guess that is just something we will learn through out the program. A cool idea that stood out to me from one of my team members was building an online auction as well. Overall I really look forward to working on any projects during my tenure at CSUMB online program.

Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal

This week was really cool because it transitioned into preparing for jobs by creating resume's and knowing how to do well in interviews. This is extremely important as once we get out into the field these are skills that are vital in landing jobs. Resume's alone can sometimes land you interviews. As there is key skills employers are looking for so your resume will not get filtered out. Also coding interviews can be challenging and hard to prepare for. The video "cracking the coding interview" shows exactly what to look for such as mastering data structures and algorithms, understanding Big O notation, binary trees, arrays, etc.. Being able to break a problem down is something that is always difficult. That is why I have a personal plan of trying to do at least a couple of leetcode problems every week.
