Wk03: Learning Journal Preparing for LDPM

1. People such as Erika,Won Jin, and Ethan have provided good feedback when questions are asked. 2. So far working on all the projects in general for me has been really tough. I just have a lot going on in my life. As far as the resource I have used. I watch the lectures and YouTube videos. I even bought a Udemy course on Java which has helped me a lot. The website GeeksforGeeks provides great examples of code that shows exactly how to implement certain data structures or methods. 3. So far our classmates provide good direction as to what is needed and clarify confusion we have. Erika has provided an answer to a lot of questions I or others have.  For example sometimes there is misconception about the UML diagrams and what they mean and our class members give us definitions. Or when returning the toString method people give feedback as to what values should be returned. 4. I am pretty much hard struggling on all the assignments. I just feel lost and have no clue what to do. Overall...

CST 300 MODULE 8

Part 1: Review Other Teams' final video projects SolU - Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture 1. Yes I felt like they covered their topic well in regards to the use of AI in agriculture. It gave multiple perspective on how AI machines are used to determine good or bad produce, protect crops, and monitor livestock. 2. They went with a video based presentation which gave you a nice visual on how the machines are used in agriculture. There was many examples provided and the topic felt well researched.  3. I felt they had enough research on the video. They videos really gave you a nice perspective on how these technologies worked. I like when they talked about how AI is used in farms for apples. It showed how machines determine whether or not an apple is ready to be harvested by being shown multiple different colors, size, and shapes to determine if in apple ripe or not. 4. The quality is good. You can clearly see how the AI technologies are used in agriculture. The video has n...

Part 1: Video Project The final video project is definitely something new for me as I never have done videos on a topic that I am researching. So far as a team we have been communicating through discord. For me the hardest part so far has been researching the topic as edge computing is a concept that is hard to fully grasp without any prior knowledge of IT and networking, The process so far has been 50/50 as far is trying to fully understand what it is we have to deliver on the assignment since we have to appeal to a professional and general audience. This is definitely a challenge as I still do not fully understand the concepts of edge computing so trying to explain it a kid seems very difficult as it is a complicated subject on its own.  Part 2:  The greatest machine that never was The video starts off by talking about computers and their history. The speaker,  John Graham-Cumming tells the story of Charles Babbage's mechanical, steam-powered "analytical engine"....

Part 1: Help Your Teammates to Develop Capstone Ideas So we discussed a couple of capstone projects such as creating a search engine, small indie games and other ideas such as an online auction system. There is just so much possibilities that it is hard to choose for me personally. Honestly I am open to trying any project. Creating and designing a video game is something that I have always wanted to do. Just being able to build a game from the ground up would be amazing. As far as the code that goes behind it well I guess that is just something we will learn through out the program. A cool idea that stood out to me from one of my team members was building an online auction as well. Overall I really look forward to working on any projects during my tenure at CSUMB online program. Part 2: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal This week was really cool because it transitioned into preparing for jobs by creating resume's and knowing how to do well in interviews. This is extrem...

Part One: Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas So after watching the capstone video projects the ones that stood out to me the most was Mirrored Fantasy by Andrew Bell and FantaSheets by Mikie Reed, and SPILLB by Jasper Kolp. I love playing video games, listening to rap and playing fantasy football. If I had to choose projects right now it would be a little tough, but I would choose a video game app or maybe create an app that can make players lives easier in a already existing video games. An example of this would be porofessor.gg for League of Legends where it shows you in depth stats of players. I also would like to try an app that could help people who love anything aerospace or space related. Such as sharing images of stars, planes, drones, etc.. Lastly I would like to create an app where car enthusiast can share builds they have done, or tips on how to clean and maintain cars. But overall for me just being able to build an...

Part One: Set Your Educational Goals The number one and most important goal in the CSUMB computer science online program is to finish and obtain a degree in computer science. I never once in my life thought it would be possible for me to have a college degree so the fact that I am one step closer to it is unbelievable to me. But before I can achieve my ultimate goal of completing my degree I will need to start setting smaller goals so that I can take small steps in accomplishing my ultimate goal. I need to start doing an activity list so that I can really focus on what's important. One thing that I read that really interested me in the module reading's was setting  Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time (SMART) goals. These are goals you can track and manage over a shorter time period to see how you are progressing. By keeping low level goals it actually encourages progress since you can attain these goals much faster. One small personal current...

Part 1.) T ime management and study strategy website   After reading study techniques and looking at time management tips there is 7 step the website gives. The first and most important step is the use of a personal time survey which basically gives you an idea on how much time you spend in all activities. Basically you calculate every single activity from eating, working, sleeping, etc.. and add it all up. Once you have added every single activity up  you now subtract it by 168(total hours in a week). Now with the remaining number of hours you get that is what you will use to calculate your study time.  The second step is a study hour formula which basically determines how many hours a week one needs to study to get A's in their classes. There is always going to be some courses that are more difficult than others so more time will need to be invested in the harder classes. This is something one also has to gauge as well because it will vary per person. Some people ...
